Garlicoin tipbot for Reddit

Send Garlicoin to anyone on Reddit, right from a comment. u/grlctipsbot keeps a tip balance for your Reddit account that you can top up, tip from and withdraw to your own wallet.

Use Reddit messages, not Reddit chat. The bot can't read chats, so anything sent through the chat window is never seen. Use the buttons and command links on this page: they open Reddit's message form at reddit.com/message/compose with everything already filled in.

Tip someone in a comment

Reply to their post or comment with the bot's name, the amount, then their username:

/u/grlctipsbot 5 someuser

The bot replies to confirm. If they've never used the bot, it creates an account for them and sends them a welcome message, so anyone can receive tips.

Commands

Send these to u/grlctipsbot as a new private message (not a reply, and not a chat: the bot can't see chats). The message text is the command. Each link opens a pre-filled message form.

signup

Creates your account. Not needed if someone has already tipped you.

balance

Replies with your current tip balance.

deposit

Replies with a Garlicoin address to top up your balance. The bot messages you when the deposit is credited.

withdraw <address> <amount>

Sends GRLC from your balance to your own wallet. Use all as the amount to withdraw everything. The bot messages you the transaction ID once it's sent.

tip <amount> <user>

Tips someone privately instead of in a comment.

Good to know

Each deposit address is only guaranteed for 6 hours. Send deposit again for a fresh one next time.
Withdrawal addresses must be Garlicoin addresses, starting with G, M or grlc1.
Withdrawals are processed automatically, usually within a minute.
The bot holds your tip balance for you, so treat it like pocket change and withdraw anything you want to keep.
