SegWit (bech32). The newest kind: its checksum catches typos, and it's the cheapest kind to spend from.

Starts with G

Legacy. The original kind of Garlicoin address.

Starts with M

Script (P2SH). Usually a wrapped SegWit or multisig address.

Good to know

  • A valid address isn't proof it's the right one. Check the first and last few characters with the person you're paying.
  • The share link opens this page with the address and QR code filled in, so it works as a "send me GRLC" link. Add an amount and it becomes a payment request.
  • Open in wallet starts Garlicoin Core with the payment filled in, if it's installed. The payer still checks it and presses Send.
  • The check runs in your browser. Nothing is stored.
