A smoother wallet and clearer books
Smaller things that add up: easier to get around, easier to read, and easier to check.
Garlicoin Wallet
- A back button at the top left of every screen, and settings grouped into your key, your coins and preferences.
- The daily lotto shortcut says whether you're in today and how long until you can enter again.
- The wallet opens faster, with a little loader while it gets ready.
- Install app keeps working if you dismiss it the first time.
Around the site
- Yesterday's Block Lotto winner on the home page.
- Marketplace listings show their photo when you share the link.
- The faucet's open books split payouts into faucet rolls, lotto prizes and network fees, and say how the runway is worked out.
- Higher-contrast text and links, and a clear outline on whatever has keyboard focus.
- Start here and How to get GRLC are rewritten around the wallet, and Verify a message is in the menu.

The Garlicoin marketplace
Buy and sell things for GRLC, with no middleman holding the money.
What's new
- The marketplace: list anything legal from the Garlicoin Wallet with up to 4 photos, and browse, search and buy here. Your wallet is your account, so there's nothing to sign up for.
- Deposit escrow for shipped items: the buyer puts in the price plus a deposit and the seller adds a deposit, in one transaction to an address that needs both of them to sign. When it arrives, the buyer releases the payment and both deposits come back. Until they agree, nobody can move the coins, not even us.
- Or pay on pickup, on delivery, or up front, straight from wallet to wallet.
- Messages between buyer and seller are encrypted in their wallets, so only the two of them can read them (shipping addresses included).
- Ratings come only from finished trades, and wallet notifications tell you about new orders, messages and payouts.
- Every listing has a report link, and the marketplace rules say what can't be sold.
Also new
- In the wallet, opening a gift link you sent shows whether it was claimed, and you can take it back right there.
- The uptime page no longer counts our own node's restarts against the community light wallet servers.

The big rebuild
garlicoin.org grew from a faucet and a bootstrap download into a home for everything Garlicoin. It's all free to use, and nothing here holds your coins: keys stay in your browser, and payments go straight to the address they're for.
A wallet in your browser
- Garlicoin Wallet (beta): make a wallet in seconds. Your key is created and encrypted on your device and never sent to us.
- Send to an address or a @name, pay several people at once, scan QR codes, make gift links, and receive on classic or SegWit (grlc1) addresses.
- Unlock with your fingerprint or face (passkeys), get a notification when you're paid, and set price alerts.
- A price line on the home screen, the network fee in your currency, and an extra check before large payments.
- Contacts, notes, payment details, CSV export, combine small coins, and a backup file that keeps your contacts and notes too.
- If the servers can't be reached, the wallet still shows your last known balance and activity.
Free GRLC and games
- The faucet starts right on the home page, speaks plain English, has a 1 in 1,000 jackpot of 10 GRLC, sponsored happy hours, and open books showing where its coins go.
- Block Lotto: a free daily draw where a block's hash picks the winner, and this site re-checks the result in your browser. Enter straight from the faucet.
- 13 games with high-score boards, from Super Garlic and Clove Crush to Garlic Dash 3D and Flappy Garlic.
- Garlic of the block: every block gets its own garlic art, with seasonal editions (it's Halloween right now).
- Retired along the way: Oven Clicker, Breadris, Garlic Garden and Garlic Roulette.
Spend it and get paid
- The Garlicoin wall: messages written into the blockchain for 1 GRLC, with replies, pins, and shout-outs on Live blocks and Block Lotto. The fees go to the faucet.
- Garlic names: garlicoin.org/@you, a link-in-bio page with a QR code and tip buttons. A name works anywhere you'd type an address.
- Proofs that timestamp a file on the chain, and claim a block for yourself.
- Sell a file or code for GRLC, paid straight to your own address.
- Where to spend GRLC, a directory of shops that take it, and printable pay-with-GRLC stickers.
- Website widgets, tip badges and a payment screen for taking GRLC in person.
Handy tools
- Printable gift cards, send GRLC by link, and claim a gift card or paper wallet right in your browser.
- The address checker shows balances, plus Where's my transaction? and Found an old wallet?
- Vanity addresses, and signing or verifying messages.
- How to get GRLC, and a step-by-step guide to redeeming a gift card with Garlicoin Core.
Price and network
- The price straight from the exchanges (FreiExchange and FreiXLite), with order books, a what-would-it-really-cost calculator, a year of history, and 14 currencies.
- Network status with a node map, live blocks, uptime, activity and mining charts, a halving countdown, and a monthly State of Garlicoin.
- For builders: a free data API with live README badges, a transaction decoder, a developer reference, a node guide and the chain bootstrap.
For everyone
- In Español, Português, Deutsch and Français: Start here, the faucet, Block Lotto, gift claims, the redeem guide, Spend and Price, and the wallet.
- Dark mode, installable as an app, and faster pages: the captcha now only loads where it's needed.
- A privacy page listing exactly what our server keeps, and terms of use.
- Every page is now checked automatically each day, and browsers report script errors, so problems get fixed before anyone has to tell us.
